Tabor -- Marilynn Wilch Tabor died July 21, 1999 in Vancouver, WA after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born February 1, 1933 in Denver, where she graduated from East High School. Marilynn was a longtime resident of Mercer Island, WA, where she raised her three children and was active in local education, youth sports, Girl Scouts, and Jobs Daughters. She later lived in Northern California, where she worked in the administrative offices of Merced and Chico Public Schools. She eventually moved back to Denver, where she was an executive administrative assistant with Rocky Mountain Blue Cross. She retired and moved to Albuquerque in 1996 to be near her mother and sister. Marilynn had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh. She was a loving mother and grandmother, devoted sister, and caring friend. She was an avid sports fan, enjoyed cooking, and took great pride in her home and garden. She loved animals, especially her beloved cats and dogs. Her family and friends loved her and will miss her dearly and ask that you set aside some time to appreciate the precious moments in life. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Laurel and Bob Powell of Corrales; her aunt and uncle, Elaine and Howard Wheeler of Westlake Village, CA; her three children, daughter, Karen Axell and husband, Paul Neigel of Vancouver, WA; son, Kris Axell and wife, Cheryl of Bellevue, WA; daughter, Karla Axell and husband, Chuck Blumenfeld of Seattle; her three grandsons, Jonathan Axell, Jeffrey Axell and Matthew Winter; and her cat, Miss Kitty. It is her family's desire that those who wish to remember her do so by having annual mammograms ad by encouraging friends and loved one to do the same. Remembrances may also be made in her name to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 97100, Dallas, TX 75397. There will be private memorial services in Seattle and Rio Rancho.
