Kirkpatrick -- R. Steve Kirkpatrick, age 47, of Santa Fe, died on Sunday, August 1, 1999. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rosemary (Schneider) Neel and Hervey Schneider, and George and Bernice Kirkpatrick; and father-in-law, Frank Zippel. Steve was born on April 25, 1952 in Alamosa, CO to Robert E. and Alice Ann Kirkpatrick. He married his wife, Virginia on August 25, 1973. He was retired from the State of New Mexico as a Data Processing Manager with the Highway Department. He was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church and a past Exalted Ruler of Santa Fe BPOE #460. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 26 years, Virginia of Santa Fe; his beloved sons, R. Daniel Kirkpatrick and girlfriend, Duska Roberts and James Kirkpatrick, all of Santa Fe; his parents, Robert and Alice Ann Kirkpatrick. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Mable Zippel of Santa Fe; sister, Eileen Gilbert and husband, Wayne of Las Cruces; brother, Mark E. Kirkpatrick of Las Cruces; brother-in-law, Frank Zippel of Santa Fe; sister-in-law, Judy Hipskind and husband, Greg and family of Austin, TX; and many other aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. A Memorial service will be conducted on Thursday, August 5, 1999, 2:00 p.m., at St. John's United Methodist Church. A reception will follow at the Elk's Lodge. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Elks C and B Trust, in care of Santa Fe BPOE #460, Santa Fe, NM.
