Stowe -- Leland L. Stowe, 61, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 11 years, passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 1999. Leland was born May 27, 1938, the son of Lloyd and Leatha Dandurand Stowe in Worthington, Minnesota. Lee had been a Quality Control Manager with the Roses Southwest Paper Company before retiring. He also served in the US Air Force for 20 years. Lee is survived by his wife, Marilyn of Rio Rancho; four children, F. Scott Stowe and his wife, Karen of Colorado Springs, CO, Deitria Clark and her husband, Jeff of Rio Rancho, David Stowe of Denver, CO, Bradley Stowe and his wife, Anna Marie of Colorado Springs, CO; three sisters, LaDonna Gertson and Darlene Wamund of Minnesota and Alene Holland of Wisconsin; and eight grandchildren, Lauren, Kaitlin, Justin, Alisha, Arysta, Jeremy, David II, and Nicole-Marie. A Rosary will be recited this evening, Friday, July 2, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd., at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho, with the Mass of Resurrection being celebrated on Saturday, July 3, 1999, 11:00 a.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with the Rev. Christopher Pieroni as the Celebrant. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary, Rio Rancho.
