Chavez -- Mr. Christion Leroy (C.L.) Chavez, 57, a lifetime resident of Albuquerque, passed away on June 22, 1999. Mr. Chavez is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Geneva; two daughters, Claudia Chavez and Colleen Chavez; two sons, Mark Chavez and wife, Frederica and Michael Chavez and girlfriend, Emily Gillmore; two sisters, Celina Ramirez and husband, John and Della Barboa; five brothers, Leonard Chavez and wife, Gloria, Joe Chavez and wife, Priscilla, James Chavez and wife, Theresa, Ray Chavez and wife, Betty and Eugene Chavez and wife, Elvira; three grandchildren, Raymond, Carlos and Manuel; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Chavez was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Thursday afternoon in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, from 4:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 5:00 p.m. by the Legion of Mary. Final visitation will be Friday at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Church, 4080 St. Joseph Pl. NW, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12:00 noon by Father Frank Prieto. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Chavez, James Chavez, Ray Chavez, Gene Chavez, David Chavez and Johnny Chavez. Honorary pallbearers will be Leonard Chavez and Aaron Mora. Gabaldon Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
