Ball -- Douglas R. Ball, 47, a native of Albuquerque, died Saturday, April 24, 1999 after a long illness. A devoted son, brother, uncle, friend and neighbor, he was preceded in death by his parents, Myrl W. and Gladys F. Ball; and his oldest sister, Anne Marie Ball. He is survived by his sister, Alice C. Rakes of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; three brothers, Roy E. Ball and Nelson T. Ball of Albuquerque, and Kenneth M. Ball of Conifer, Colorado; three nephews; two nieces and many wonderful friends and relatives of all ages. Doug was a graduate of Valley High School and the University of Albuquerque, a Sunday school teacher and a choir member at Harwood United Methodist Church. Arrangements are pending. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harwood United Methodist Church, 420 San Lorenzo NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107.
