Saldevar -- Memorial service for Bob Saldevar, 69, of Alto, will be Saturday, July 24, 11:00 a.m., at Community United Church in Ruidoso with the Rev. Harry Riser officiating. Bob died Tuesday, July 20 at his home. He was born March 24, 1930 at Oakland, California. He was a retired electronic engineer and had served in the Navy. He moved to Alto in 1994 from Albuquerque. He married Dina Long on June 9, 1951 at Pasadena, California. He is survived by his wife, Dina of Albuquerque; a son, Scott Saldevar and his wife, Debbie of Alamogordo; and a daughter, Dee Saldevar-Brown and her husband, Mark of Placitas, NM; a sister, Virginia Alvarez of San Lorenzo, CA; two grandchildren, Christina Rae Hennsley and her husband, Christopher and Joshua Scott Saldevar; and one great-grandson, Tyler Michael Hennsley. The family has requested memorials to Hospice of Lincoln County, 116 Nob Hill, Ruidoso, NM 88345. Arrangements are under the direction of LaGrone Funeral Chapel of Ruidoso.
