Lacy -- Frances Davidson Lacy passed away Tuesday, July 20, 1999 at the age of 86 after a long illness. Fran was born to Vanda Arthur Davidson and Flossie Rainwater Davidson in Dubach, LA, March 6, 1913. She is survived by her son, Art Lacy and wife, Heidi of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Joseph E. Lacy III and family of Ruston, LA, George Malcomb Lacy of Salt Lake City, NV, and Jennifer Lacy of Houston, TX. Fran was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Lacy; and son, Gene Lacy. Fran was a devoted wife and mother, sharing 56 years of marriage with her husband, Joe. Together they led an interesting and productive life. Fran was an accomplished artist, leaving behind many beautiful paintings shared by family and friends. She was an elegant and graceful lady with an ability to make everyone in her presence feel at ease. She had many friends and although she will be missed, both family and friends rejoice that her suffering is over. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at St. John's United Methodist Church in Santa Fe, July 28 at 2:00 p.m. Memorials can be made to Alzheimer's Association of New Mexico, 1330 San Pedro, Albuquerque, NM 87110, or your favorite charity.
