Sanchez -- Savina (Sally) Sanchez went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 18, 1999. Sally was born July 5, 1911, the daughter of Sinforoza and Federico Lovato Padilla in Raton, New Mexico. She had worked hard all her life in places such as the Bruns Military Hospital during WWII and St. Vincents Hospital, and several nursing homes. In her later years, she was a proud Foster Grandparent in the Albuquerque Public Schools and at UNMH. She was a devoted mother and Christian who loved the Lord dearly. Sally was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Lazaro Martinez and her second husband, Jose Sanchez; her beloved son, Thomas Robert Martinez; brothers, Elmo J. Lovato and Tony Lovato and his wife, Lonicia; sisters, Rebecca (Dide) Martinez and Mary Lucrecia Brazelli; also two sons-in-law, Juan Dominguez and Rev. Frank Archuleta Sr. She is survived by her daughters, Beatrice Dominguez, Rev. Connie Archuleta, Rebecca Lippke and husband, Mike; son, Lazaro (Pispo) Martinez and wife, Grace; and daughter-in-law, Maria Leoneda Martinez; 16 grandchildren, Robert John Montoya and wife, Michelle, Angie Martinez and husband, Rick, Sam Montoya and wife, Theresa, Rose and Johanna Dominguez, Maria Elena Martinez Grisham and husband, Brian, Debra Janet (DJ) Martinez, Annette Martinez, Michael Allen and David Lippke, Christina Hansen and husband, Jeff, Vivian Archuleta Rodriguez, Rev. Frank Archuleta Jr. and wife, Esther, Tomas Archuleta and wife, Lea, Johnny Martinez and wife, Amy, Ronnie Martinez and wife, Sandra. She is also survived by 30 great-grandchildren, Roberta Montoya Shaw and husband, Bobby, Jasmine and Jessica Montoya, Cindy Gallegos and husband, Dean, Denise Corriz, Monica, Samantha, Samone and Juanito Montoya, Daniel Salas and Sally Dominguez, (her name sake), Aaron, Shane, and Brandon Grisham, Elizabeth and Emiliana Krista, Elycia Martinez-Davis, Maghan, Heather, Jeffery and Ema Hanson, Connie and husband, Jonathan Jimenez, Stefanie, Frankie the third, Emily, Brandon, Tomas Jr., and Jonathan Archuleta, Dominic and Matthew Martinez; three great-great-grandchildren, Bobbi Meriah Shaw, Victoria Montoya, and Jonathan Jimenez Jr.; and two sisters, Odella Lovato and Rosie Sullivan; and her beloved sister-in-law, Maclovia Lovato. Further survivors include many special friends and relatives. A special nephew, Tony (Pancho) Lovato and wife, Alice, who helped her with many of her needs in later years. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 21, 1999, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. in the chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd., at Meadowlark Ln, Rio Rancho. The service will be on Thursday, July 22, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. at the Aposento Alto Praise Chapel, 2501 Alamogordo NW, Albuquerque, with Rev. Ruben Guajardo, Rev. Ruben Guajardo Jr., and Rev. Frank Archuleta Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Vista Verde Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Daniel Salas, David Lippke, Johnny Martinez, Michael Lippke, Sammy Montoya, Tomas Archuleta, Robert Montoya, and Dean Gallegos. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Martinez, Rev. Frank Archuleta and Jonathan Jimenez. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary, 892-9920.
