Byrd -- Ted Byrd, 82, a resident of New Mexico since 1930, died Friday, May 21, 1999. He is survived by his son, Sidney L. Byrd and wife, Susan of Belen; daughter, Sandra L. Scribner and husband, David of Los Alamos; granddaughters, Jessica J. Byrd and Jenna L. Byrd of Belen, Andrea M. Scribner and Nicole J. Scribner of Los Alamos; and brothers, Samuel L. Byrd and wife, Marilyn of Globe, AZ and Virgil Byrd and wife, Elsie of Santa Fe. He was preceded in death by former wife, Kathryn M. Ahlgrim; daughter, Barbara Joan Byrd; wife, Bettye Byrd; and brother, Carl Byrd. Memorial services will be held Thursday, 3:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating.
