Rockenbaugh -- Gertrude K. Rockenbaugh, 84, a resident of Tucumcari and formerly of Albuquerque, died Monday, February 15, 1999. She is survived by her brother, Rev. Floyd E. Kolb of Branson, MO; sister, Lola Masters of Denver, CO; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Rockenbaugh; and sisters, Lucille Adams, Mildred Kelly, and Ruby Blackwell. Mrs. Rockenbaugh graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1933 and the University of New Mexico in 1946. She began teaching as an elementary teacher with the Albuquerque Public Schools in 1946 and taught for 32 years. Mrs. Rockenbaugh was a member of Del Norte Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star of Estancia. Services will be held Wednesday, 3:00 p.m., at Chester T. French Mortuary Mausoleum Chapel, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
