Archer -- Oneal J.T. Archer, 84, a resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, February 13, 1999. He is survived by is wife of 62 years, Frances Archer of the family home; daughter, Mary Archer of Albuquerque; son, James Oneal Archer and wife, Pat of Los Alamos; grandchildren, Scott and James Archer. He served 28 years in the United States Air Force. He was on the first flight of The B-29 Raid over Japan and second in command to Memphis Bell Morgan. After retirement he was director of Physical Plant at Miami University at Oxford, Ohio. Bogle -- Earnest R. Bogle, 74, a resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, February 12, 1999. He is survived by his sons, George E. Bogle, Joe M. Bogle and wife, Dianne, and Mike Bogle; daughter, Annette Curtis and husband, Robert; grandchildren, Edward, Rick, Tracey, Matt, Kinzer and Austin; great-great-grandchildren, Andy, Tandi, Vanessa, Whitney, Aaron, Ashley, Mariah and Brian; and sisters, Bea Serie and Tillie Plumbley. Burt -- Mary Frances Burt, 95, a resident of New Mexico since 1926, passed away Saturday, February 13, 1999, which would have been her 75th wedding anniversary. She is survived by three daughters, Betty Eatough and husband, Mel, Katherine Tenczar, Marilyn Hokanson and husband, Jerry, all of Albuquerque; three sons, Gaylord Burt and wife, Anna, Wasco, CA, Robert Burt and wife, Cathie, Taos, and George Burt, Denver, CO; two sisters, Ella Leeds and Helen Babcock, both of Colorado; 25 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was a member of San Ysidro Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gaylord Burt Sr. in 1962; and one great-grandchild in 1974. She pioneered with her husband, Gaylord, in bringing electricity to Northern, NM. She attended college in Grand Junction, CO and briefly taught school grades 1 through 8 in a one room school house before marrying her husband in 1924. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in the Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal SE. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 10:00 a.m., at San Ysidro Catholic Church. Davenport -- James L."Jim" Davenport, 70, a resident of Albuquerque since 1971, died Sunday, February 14, 1999. He is survived by his beloved wife of 24 years, Sally Davenport of Albuquerque; daughter, Rachel Simpson and husband, Van of Searcy, AR; sons, James Davenport and wife, Donna of Texarkana, TX and Peter Davenport and wife, Pamela of Brunswick, ME; step-daughters, Debra Griego and husband, Gino of Albuquerque and Lisa Furrow and husband, Robert of Tucson, AZ; brother, Donald Davenport; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Maxine Cox and Jean Tearnan. Mr. Davenport was a member of the Albuquerque Senior Men's Golf Association. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and hunter. Easley -- Jerry Lynn Easley, 49, passed away unexpectedly in Portland, OR, Tuesday, January 26, 1999. He was born in Albuquerque on July 23, 1949 to Max and Ann Easley. He graduated from Rio Grande High School, attended the New Mexico Military Academy, was a graduate of the University of Albuquerque, and served with the New Mexico National Guard. Jerry had a varied career in law enforcement, as a juvenile probations officer and probation officer for the New Mexico Department of Corrections. He was also Deputy Sheriff with the Bernalillo County Sheriffs Dept. In Oregon he served with the Clackamas County Sheriffs Dept. in the river patrol division before accepting a position with the Portland Community College, and at the time of his death, was Sergeant for the Portland Community College Department of Public Safety. Services were held Tuesday, February 9, 1999 in Portland, OR. He is survived by his parents; a sister, Maretta Mather; brother-in-law, Rick Mather of Albuquerque; maternal grandmother, Filapina Meese of Gallup; and a number of relatives. The family wishes to thank those who have been so helpful in their time of sorrow. Edwards -- Fay A. Edwards, age 90, passed away February 13, 1999 at 2:30 p.m. in Albuquerque. She was born June 10, 1908 in Mitchell, SD. She worked at Caterpillar Trucking in East Peoria during WWII. She was a member of Eastern Star DES #840 in Creve Cour, IL for 53 years and she was a member of the Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, LaVon Klein; sister, Laura Louise Smalley; several nieces and nephews; grandson, Terry Klein and wife, Vicki; granddaughter, Tina Ramalia and husband, Joe, granddaughter, Tauny Fincher and husband, Doyle, all of Albuquerque; 11 grandchildren, Rebecca, Traci, Tara, Ryan, Kristina, Clinton, Amber, Melinda, Stacey, Travis and Bobbie Lynn. Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Edwards; son-in-law, Ted L. Klein; grandson, Robert L. Gilstrap -- James Wiley Gilstrap, 75, formerly of Las Cruces, NM, died February 15, 1999 suffering from a lengthy illness of emphysema and Parkinson's disease. James Wiley was born March 25, 1923 at Maxwell, New Mexico, the third child of Joseph Ensley and Effie Eugenia Lusk Gilstrap. He attended school in northern New Mexico at Maxwell, Raton, Roy, Mills and Miami, and graduated from high school at Springer, New Mexico in 1941. He enrolled at New Mexico State College, joined the Advanced ROTC, and was called to active duty in 1943. After receiving Infantry training in California, Georgia, and Mississippi, he was assigned to the 97th Infantry Division and was attached to Gen. Patton's Third Army in the European Theatre of Operations. After the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium, the Third Army spearheaded the drive into Czechoslovakia and met the Russian Army at Pilsen. The 97th was then assigned occupation duty in Japan. After being discharged in March, 1946, James finished the degree in Agriculture at New Mexico State University and started teaching Veteran's Farm Training in San Miguel and Colfax County, New Mexico. He married Rowena Ikenberry on August 5, 1951 in Springer, NM. He was appointed County 4-H Agent in Lea County, Lovington, New Mexico in 1954 and advanced to County Extension Director in 1956. He transferred to DeBaca County, Fort Sumner in 1972, and retired in 1981, making his home in Las Cruces, NM. They moved to Winston-Salem, NC in 1996 to live near their daughter, Roberta Lasley and family. During his career, he served in many positions of leadership in each community in which he resided: post commander of Lovington American Legion, President of Fort Sumner Rotary Club and served on the official board of Fort Sumner United Methodist Church and St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Las Cruces. He is survived by his wife, Rowena of Pfafftown, NC; three daughters and one son, Cathy Gilstrap of Colorado Springs, CO, Laura Pruitt, her husband, Norman, and two sons, Ethan and Jason of Okinawa, Japan, James Paul Gilstrap and wife, Gwyneth and daughter, Amanda of St. Louis, MO, and Roberta Lasley, her husband, Tim and two sons, Jim and Paul of Pfafftown. Also surviving are his brother, Franklin Gilstrap; and sister, Jewell Gilstrap, both of Farmington, NM. Gilstrap -- Olive Marley Gilstrap, 88, died February 14, 1999. She was born to Mattie and Benjamin Marley in Bayfield, Colorado on August 14, 1910. Married James B. Gilstrap who died in 1959. She entered beauty school and worked as a beautician in Albuquerque until she retired. Preceded in death by parents; two brothers; granddaughter; and great-granddaughter. Survived by two daughters, Wilma Jenkins Boyd, Craig, CO, Janet Matson Hankerson, Midvale, UT; five grandsons; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren. Burial in family plot in Pineview Cemetery in Bayfield, Colorado.

Gotti -- Marguerite L. Gotti, 79, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past eight years, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 1999. Marguerite was born January 13, 1920, the daughter of Thomas W. and Mary Rosa Gotti in New Rochelle, New York. Marguerite had been a secretary for a paper mill company in New York before she retired. She is survived by two sisters, Marie Daly and husband, John of Albuquerque and Eleanor Tomlinson of Albuquerque; three nephews, Christopher Tomlinson and his wife, Irene of Pleasanton, CA, John Tomlinson of Albuquerque, and Stephen Tomlinson and his wife, Regina of Clifton Park, NY; also three great-nephews, Andrew, Gregory, and Matthew; and one great-niece, Bridget. Markwell -- Anna Belle Markwell passed away Friday, February 12, 1999 in Sheffield, Texas. Anna Belle was born October 5, 1905 in Carnegie, Oklahoma, Indian Territory, to James Thomas and Carrie Berkley Hunt. She married Elmer William Markwell on August 8, 1935 in Denver, Colorado. He preceded her in death in 1982. They moved to Albuquerque in 1940 and she resided there for 45 years before moving to Sheffield in 1985. Anna Belle graduated from the University of Colorado. Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Ann Markwell Slaughter and her husband, Dave of Sheffield; two grandsons, Dub Slaughter and his wife, Susan of Sheffield and Mark Slaughter and his wife, Bonny of Western Springs, IL; four great-grandchildren, Will and Lin Slaughter of Sheffield, Hollen and Sierra Slaughter of Western Springs, IL. Services will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 1999, 3:00 p.m., at Sunset Cemetery and Mausoleum in Albuquerque with the Rev. Bill Hutchinson officiating. Marlink -- Richard F. (Dick) Marlink, 73, formerly of Albuquerque, died January 31, 1999 in Denver, CO with his loving family around him. He is survived by his wife of 48 1/2 years, Enid; a mother-in-law, Helen Erickson; a son, Richard (Ric) and wife, Kim Swann and grandsons, Nathan and Bryan of Boston; two daughters, Susan Lucero and grandchildren, David and Kristin of Albuquerque, and Jennifer Plunkett and husband, Ed and granddaughters, Megan and Caitlin of Denver; a sister, Winifred Shedd and husband, Jack; a nephew, Mike Storeim; and a niece, Cris Edel and their families; a half-brother, Richard and wife, Crissie; along with many other wonderful relatives and dear friends. Dick graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Political Science and served in the US Navy during WWII. He joined the Equitable Life Assurance Society in 1949 and was the Agency Manager in Wyoming, South Texas, New Mexico, North Dakota and Colorado. He was a member of the General Agents and Managers Assoc., the National Assoc. of Life Underwriters and the American College of Life Underwriters and Chartered Financial Consultants, the United Way, the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity, the Colorado University Flatirons Club, the Colorado University Director's Club, the US Tennis Assoc., and was an elder in the Presbyterian Church. He was a man famous for his sense of humor, his concern for others and his love for the outdoors. Dick was truly loved and admired by his family and his many friends and colleagues. Mynatt -- Harvey"Bud" Mynatt Jr., 78, a resident of Albuquerque since 1951, died Sunday, February 14, 1999. He is survived by his much-loved wife of 55 years, Ruth of the family home; sons, Harvey B. Peterson -- Reba Peterson, 88, a resident of Albuquerque for 55 years, died Saturday, February 13, 1999. She is survived by her granddaughter, Cari Byers of Las Vegas, NV; nieces, Peggy Kirkland and husband, Douglas of Dallas, TX and Billie Bob Earnst and husband, John Alan of Austin, TX; and many grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Harvey Peterson; and daughter, Harvey Jean Byers. Mrs. Peterson was a teacher at Valle Vista for many years. Services will be held Wednesday, 1:00 p.m., at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. Rockenbaugh -- Gertrude K. Rockenbaugh, 84, a resident of Tucumcari and formerly of Albuquerque, died Monday, February 15, 1999. She is survived by her brother, Rev. Floyd E. Kolb of Branson, MO; sister, Lola Masters of Denver, CO; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Rockenbaugh; and sisters, Lucille Adams, Mildred Kelly, and Ruby Blackwell. Mrs. Rockenbaugh graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1933 and the University of New Mexico in 1946. She began teaching as an elementary teacher with the Albuquerque Public Schools in 1946 and taught for 32 years. Mrs. Rockenbaugh was a member of Del Norte Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star of Estancia. Services will be held Wednesday, 3:00 p.m., at Chester T. French Mortuary Mausoleum Chapel, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Sanders -- Floyd"Sandy" Sanders, 88, a resident of Albuquerque since 1946, died Thursday, February 11, 1999. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Ruth Atteberry of Albuquerque; brothers-in-law, Leo Scarbrough and wife, Dee of Big Spring, TX and Vincent Peterson of Albuquerque; niece, Alice Jane Scruggs of Clinton, MS; and nephews, Ted Scarbrough of Cresson, TX, Phillip Scarbrough of Ft. Worth, TX and Roger Atteberry of Gulf Shores, AL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora P. Sanders on September 6, 1995. Mr. Sanders had been a member of the United Association of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union #412 since February 25, 1947, where he served as Business Manager from 1963 to 1969. Torrez -- Mr. Beltran (Plumber) Torrez, 60, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on February 13, 1999. Mr. Torrez is survived by two daughters, Janet Torrez and Roseann Torrez; two sons, Jesse Torrez and fiance, Christine Perry, and Erik Torrez; four sisters, Tomisita Sandoval, Ruby Herrera and husband, Pablo, Helen Quintero and husband, Tito and Rosalie Ramirez and husband, Rafael; four grandchildren, Jacqueline, Crystal, Melanie and Desiree; aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Serafico Elwell; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Torrez was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Elwell Torrez. Mr. Torrez was a member of the Catholic Church and was well known in Albuquerque for his outstanding upholstery work. His work was shown in several of the custom care magazines. He also enjoyed training horses for racing. He was a loving father and grandfather, and was loved by all. Visitation will be Thursday morning in the San Jose Church, 2401 Broadway SE, from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Father Farias. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rick Herrera, Dave Herrera, Rafael Ramirez III, Mark Quintero, Benny Tapia and Raul Montoya. Honorary pallbearer will be Michael Tenoro Sr. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW, in charge of arrangements.

Willis -- Gladys R. Willis passed away Sunday, February 14, 1999. She was born in Bartlesville, OK on August 6, 1930. She moved to Amarillo, TX in 1945 and had been a resident of Albuquerque since 1980. She was a retired travel agency owner and business woman. She is survived by her husband, Howard Willis of Albuquerque; sons, Robert (Bobby) Willis of Albuquerque and Donald Willis and wife, Debi of Pensacola, FL; grandsons, Aaron and Matthew; granddaughter, Andrea of Pensacola, FL; one great-granddaughter; brother, Richard Fox of Boulder, CO; and sister, Phyllis Lawson of Parker CO. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, February 17, 1999, 3:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Mr. Roger Fenlaw officiating.
