Bell -- (Pate) Jewel (Pate) Bell, 89, passed away on January 31, 1999. She was born in Canadian, OK, October 14, 1909. She moved to Albuquerque in 1986. She is survived by her son, Bob Pate and wife, Wanell; grandchildren, Nicole, Brandi and Chad of Albuquerque; sister, Alice Jennings of Levington, OK; grandchildren, Pam Terry and husband, Tom of Gainsville, FL, Micki Demaline and husband, Shawn of Lawrence, KS and Brenda Sweeny and husband, John of Albuquerque; and 11 great-grandchildren. Jewel was preceded in death by husband, Ray A. Pate at Lake Arthur, NM on January 31, 1972, husband, Alva Bell at Wellston, OK on November 19, 1984; one sister, and four brothers. She was an active 4-H leader and an Extension Homemaker while at Lake Arthur, NM while raising her son. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Bernalillo County 4-H Council, 1510 Menaul NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 5, 1999 at New Fellowship Church of God, 260 Court House Road, Los Lunas, NM at 9:00 a.m. with Pastor George Clyde officiating. Private internment will follow at the Lake Arthur, NM Cemetery.
