Griego -- Arthur J. Griego, 86, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, was called home to be with the Lord, Monday, May 24, 1999. Mr. Griego was a parishioner of St. Charles Catholic Church; he served his country in the United States Army during World War II. His hobbies were singing, fishing and hunting; he enjoyed the outdoors, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Griego; and a grandson, Ray Sedillo. He is survived by his loving wife, Cipi Griego; one son, Leroy Griego and wife, Kathy of Rio Rancho; two daughters, Odelia Sedillo and husband, Ramon, Betty Griego, both of Albuquerque; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Toby J. Griego and wife, Annie; two sisters, Emma Gabaldon, Margie Apodaca and husband, Manuel; and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. Visitations will be this evening, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary, on the corner of 8th and Stover, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, 9:00 a.m., at San Jose Parish, 2401 Broadway SE. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Casket bearers will be Dominic Sedillo, Benito Griego, Antonio Griego, Jude Landavoza, Orlando Griego, Sergio Martinez. Honorary bearers will be Stephanie Martinez, Maria Victoria Griego, Christina Griego, Jessica Atencio and Sohela Asgharzadeh. For floral assistance, please call 243-5222.
