Yarbrough -- Perri Abbott Yarbrough, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 1999 after a courageous battle with cancer. Perri was born January 10, 1958 in Las Cruces. She grew up in La Mesa, NM and graduated from Gadsden High. Perri started college at New Mexico State University and completed her degree in Sociology at University of New Mexico. She continued her education at the College of Santa Fe earning an Education degree. Perri taught at Eagle Ridge Middle School in Rio Rancho before moving to Los Lunas and teaching at Raymond Gabaldon Intermediate. She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Dwight Yarbrough; children, Vanessa and Cameron; parents, June Abbott of La Mesa, and Ray Abbott of Socorro; brothers, Ray and Charles; and sister, Sandra, all of La Mesa. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Friday, 12:00 noon, at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
