Martinez -- Henry"Louie" Martinez, 47, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away Monday, May 10, 1999. He is survived by his daughter, Monette Vezelici and husband, Steve of San Antonio, NM; mother, Emily Marquez and husband, Gabriel of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Gabriel, Estevan and Shania; two sisters, Paula Armijo and husband, Michael and Shelly Marquez; four nephews, Marcus, Dominic, Robert and Adan; two cousins who he loved like sisters, Arlene Baca and Vera Chavez; and many aunts; uncles; and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gabe Marquez. Louie was a Veteran of Vietnam and served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited Thursday, 7:00 p.m. at San Felipe De Neri, 2005 Plaza NW with Deacon Bob Lewis reciting. Mass will be celebrated Friday, 10:00 a.m. at San Felipe De Neri with Very Rev. Leo Lucero, Vicar General. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Armijo, Steve Vezelici, Chris Chavez, Nick Brito, Paul Maes, and Dean Jaramillo. Honorary pallbearers are Lorenzo Jaramillo, Robert Casaus and Steve Martinez. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Thursday, 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
