Koplik -- Lewis H. Koplik, M.D., age 59, died unexpectedly at home Tuesday, May 11, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Emily M. Koplik of the family home; daughter, Sara Koplik; son, Joel Koplik; sister, Bamboo Solzman and her companion, Eli Lewis; nieces, Nancy Solzman and Andrea Goldberg; nephew, Cordero Brown; great-niece, Ariella Alarid; many other family members and friends. He recently was the recipient of the Christopher Tietze Lifetime Humanitarian Award in Atlanta, GA. Services will be held Thursday, 3:00 p.m., at Congregation Albert, 3800 Louisiana NE, with Rabbi Joseph R. Black and Cantor Jacqueline Shuchat-Marx officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Planned Parenthood of New Mexico, 701 San Mateo NE 87108.
