Padilla -- Mrs. Barbara C. Padilla, 82, passed away on March 29, 1999. Mrs. Padilla was the beloved mother of four daughters, Geneva Baca and husband, Ramon, Patsy Torres and husband, Augustine, Clara Saavedra and husband, Robert of San Bernadino, CA, and Theresa Padilla also of San Bernadino, CA; two sons, Phillip Padilla and Jean and Nepie Padilla. Mrs. Padilla is also survived by two sisters, Ida Castillo and Bennie Lucero of Glendale, CA; two brothers, Trankie Padilla and wife, Celia and Johnie Padilla; 25 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Felipe Padilla, 1991; and her daughter, Nora Alderete, 1996. Mrs. Padilla was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon, 12:30 p.m., at the Church of the Ascension, 2150 Raymac SW, with a Rosary to be recited by the Legion of Mary at 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will follow the Rosary at 2:00 p.m. with Father Anthony Bolman, Celebrant. Interment will follow at the Los Padillas Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ramon Baca Jr., Billy Baca, Johnie Padilla, Andrew Torres, Gabriel Trujillo, Nep Padilla Jr., Daniel Perea and Chris Saavedra. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, in charge of the arrangements.
