Solomon -- Gertrude Solomon, age 85, passed away on March 25, 1999. She was born to Paul and Ida Lippmann in Manhattan, NY on June 13, 1913. She is survived by her daughter, Ellen Katz and husband, Ira; and grandson, Robert, all of New York. Mrs. Solomon was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest in 1987. She lived in this area since 1975, moving from Long Island, New York. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and Advocacy for Literature. She was past president for B'Nai B'rith in New York and in New Mexico. Before retirement she was Executive Secretary for Phillips Electronics. Cremation has taken place and private services were held. Memorials may be made to Advocacy for Literacy or Meals on Wheels.
