Milligan -- Sarah Milligan, 84, a lifetime resident of New Mexico passed away peacefully after an enjoyable day spent with family and friends on Friday, March 26, 1999. Sarah was born June 23, 1914 the daughter of Mariano and Millinda Coriz Garcia in Santa Fe, New Mexico. For the last 24 years, she has lived with the daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren in Corrales. Sarah had several hobbies during her lifetime. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and made several beautiful blankets and quilts for family and friends. Sarah even won some awards for her work at the State Fair. She also made ceramic lamps and figurines for her family, and knitted clothes for her grandchildren. Sarah led a very full life and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Melba Cline and one son, Bruce Milligan. Sarah is survived by her brother, Mario Garcia and wife, Viola; son, Larry Milligan; daughters, Ellen Madrid and husband, Albert, Nancy Silva and husband, Edward, Maryann Morreale and husband, Phil; daughter-in-law, Lillian Milligan; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and two more on the way. She also had several nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. Sarah also had several friends at the Corrales Senior Center of whom she was very fond of and enjoyed their company. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated today, Tuesday, March 30, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. at the San Ysidro Catholic Church in Corrales with The Rev. Clarence Galli as the celebrant.
