Mendez -- Donilia Eloisa Mendez, a resident of Albuquerque for 45 years, passed away on Friday, March 26, 1999, after a long lingering illness. Mrs. Mendez is survived by three daughters, Ernestine M. Pavlakovich and husband, Nick of Albuquerque, Christina B. Chavez and her husband Edward of Albuquerque, Virginia S. Crisman and her husband, Jack of Rio Rancho; two sons, Robert V. Mendez of Albuquerque and Ralph G. Mendez and his wife, Maureen of South Carolina. Mrs. Mendez is also survived by two sisters and four brothers; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Mendez was preceded in death by her late husband, Reynaldo Mendez. She was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. There will be private family visitation on Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald & Sons Funeral Directors. A Rosary will be recited Monday at Queen of Heaven Church at 7:00 p.m. by Deacon Larry Cleveland. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 30 at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church at 9:00 a.m. with Fr. Johnny Lee Chavez officiating, with Deacon Pilar assisting. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery with Deacon Pilar conducting. Those serving as Casket Bearers will be Robert Mendez Sr., Robert Mendez Jr., Nick Pavlakovich, Earnest Trejo, Ralph Mendez, Richard Giron II. Rudy Rivera will be Honorary Pallbearer. Fitzgerald and Sons Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE are in charge of arrangements.
