Canterbury -- Ray L. Canterbury, 78, a resident of Albuquerque since 1953, died Friday, March 26, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Helen Canterbury; sisters, Garnet Bailey of Oceana, WV, Marcelene Gates of Hamden, OH and Mary Elizabeth Hau of Logan, WV; and a brother, Hursel Canterbury of Vandalia, OH. He was a member of Primative Baptist Church. Services will be held Monday, 10:30 a.m. at Primitive Baptist Church, 6102 Constitution NE, with Elder Lonnie Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be Darwin Hendricks, Jim Wolfe, Chris Walton and Bill Lewis. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bob Ostlie and Jerry Foshee. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
