Holleman -- Shirley C. Holleman, 71, passed away in her home on Tuesday, April 20, 1999, after a extensive battle with COPD. She was born in Cannon Falls, Minnesota on December 14, 1928. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward W. Holleman in 1989. She was a beautiful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She retired from House of Carpets in 1993. She became a hot air balloon pilot in 1985. She is survived by one brother, Thomas Burke of Storrs, CT; five daughters, Catherine Myers of Albuquerque, Carol Stoy-McLeod and husband, Hugh McLeod of Bosque Farms, Christine Stoy of Albuquerque, Callie Adams and husband, Roger of Albuquerque, and Casey Courtney of Los Lunas; six grandchildren, Tracy Daniels, Amy Neal and husband, Matthew, Daniel Myers, Michael Shay and wife, Jennifer, Steven and Lindsey Adams; two great-grandchildren, Emily and Hannah Neal. Cremation has taken place and upon her wishes, private services will be held in Bosque Farms. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 216 Truman NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108. Cremation arrangements are provided by Metropolitan Direct Burial and Cremation Center, Inc., 601 Mountain Rd. NW, Albuquerque, 766-9400.
