Sierra -- Therese L. Sierra, 51, beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and granddaughter was called home to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 17, 2000. Ms. Sierra was a resident of Albuquerque; a parishioner of Our Lady of The Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where she volunteered as a Eucharistic Minister for the past two years. Therese was a loving and giving person who enjoyed working with children who had special needs for the past ten years; she was employed with the Rio Rancho Public Schools as an Educational Assistant. She is survived by her loving children, Marcus Sierra, Sera Sierra both of Albuquerque, and Dina Hardaway and husband, Matt of Monte Vista, CO; one granddaughter, Victoria Lynn. Also surviving are her parents, Eustacio and Marcella Padilla; one brother, Victor Padilla of Longmont, CO; two sisters, Louise Kline and Margarite Padilla both of Albuquerque; grandmother, Guadalupe Benavides; four nieces and four nephews. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and those who loved and knew her. Visitations will be Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. at Our Lady of The Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:00 a.m. also at the church. Casket bearers will be Jason Sierra, Lee Santillanas, Steven Santillanas, David Kline, Jose Leyva and Andre King. Honorary casket bearers will be Nathan Sanchez, Dan Maestas, Justin Schorr, Darryl Lithgow, Andrew Chavez and Daniel Gallegos. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Therese Sierra Fund at any Wells Fargo Bank. Funeral services are in the care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave., S.W.
