Schmidt -- Patricia Mae Schmidt, 66, of Regina, NM, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2000 at the family home. She was born January 23, 1934 and was the daughter of Pete & Lola Johanson of Ely, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton John Schmidt, Sr.; daughter, Becky Lynn Aragon; son, Clayton John Schmidt, Jr.; daughter, Millie Kay Schmidt; and gradson, Clayton Paul Schmidt. She is survived by her daughter, Lola & husband, Richard Duran of La Jara, NM; son, James"Pete" & wife, Audrey Schmidt of Llaves; daughter, Mattie & husband, Chip Suskey of Llaves; son-in-law, Richarde & wife, Diane Aragon of Turpin, OK; daughter-in-law, Terry Schmidt Crawford of Llaves; son, Delbert Montana; and daughters, Ronda Drew & Rosemary McIntosh of Las Vegas, Nevada. She is also survived by 18 grandchlidren, the Honorable Jim Eaton, Delia, Patricia, Lynn, Sonja, Derrick, Lola, Rick, Peter, Ricki Lynn, Chip, Milessia, Caylyn, Heather, Marthana, Shannon, Wayne & Dean; nine great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Harold Schmidt of Llavea; sister-in-law, Norma & husband, Mark Johnston; sister-in-law, Margaret Schmidt, both of Albuquerque; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. She also leaves behind her white cat, Skity-O-Frity. Pat loved to ranch, to garden and her grandchildren & great-grandchildren, but most of all, she loved family gatherings. Rosary will be held this evening, October 19, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady fo Guadalupe in Gallina, New Mexico. A Funeral Mass will be on Friday, October 20, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Gallina with Father Michael Jennrich and Father Mark Granito officiating. Burial will be at the Schmidt Family Cemetery with the Honorable Jim Eaton, Chip Suskey, Jr., Peter Schmidt, Jr., Rick Duran, Derrick Shipley, Rickie Aragon, Eddie Pacheco and Antonio Gutierres as pallbearers. The honorable pallbearers are Pete Schmidt, Delbert Lodedy, Chip Suskey, Richard Duran, Richarde Aragon, Paul"Opi" Bechdal, Fran Martinez, Fay Davis, Helen Casados and Mark Johnston."Mom, Grandma; you will be greatly missed and we love you very much." Funeral arrangements are with Cope Memorial Chapel of Aztec, 334-9332.
