Storey -- Patrick"Pat" Storey, 61, passed away peacefully at his home in Belen, on September 9, 2000. Pat was well known in this area as owner and operator of Storey Insurance Agency and Del Rio Laundry. After retiring from the insurance business, he pursued his lifelong interest with the Storey Ranch, located at the Ladron Mountain foothills in Socorro County. Ranching and farming was his passion and he enjoyed spending time at his ranch with his cow; however, being with his four sons and five grandchildren was his first and foremost love. He was also a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, Belen Elks Lodge, and the Belen Moose Lodge. Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Nestor and Antonia Storey. He is survived by his four sons, Vincent of Belen, Gil of Bosque, Leonard and his wife, Jossette of Plano, TX, and Chris of Las Vegas, NV; five grandchildren, his very special grandson, Jacob Ray, along with Ryan, Naomi, Lindsey, and Kathryn; his life-long friend and former wife, Gloria Storey of Belen; two sisters, Frances Morrow and her husband, Bill and Susan Castillo and her husband, Max, all from Albuquerque; four brothers, Jim and his wife, Lou of Pecos, Charles and his wife, Sylvia of Bosque, Kenneth of Los Chavez, and Anthony of Belen. He is also survived by his many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Cremation has taken place and at Pat's request, there will be no memorial service.
