Bernstein -- Estelle Bernstein, 94, a resident of Albuquerque since 1933, died Sunday, April 30, 2000. She is survived by her son, Mel L. Bernstein and wife, Dorothy of Albuquerque; daughter, Fernie Caplan and husband, Reuben of Albuquerque; 9 grandchildren, Jeff Bernstein, Ellen Bernstein, Dana Pulliam and husband, Randy, Rachel Bernstein and husband, Richard Waugh, Susanna May and husband, Don, Mindy Caplan, Connie Wareham and husband, Mark, Susan Caplan, and Pamela Henderson and husband, Michael; and 7 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bernstein was a member of Congregation Albert B?Nai Israel. She was past president of B?Nai Isreal Sisterhood. Mrs. Bernstein, along with her family, were owners of the Central Supermarket for many years here in Albuquerque. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2000, 11:30 a.m., at Fairview Memorial Park, B'Nai Israel section, with Rabbi Isacc Celnik and Cantor Josh Perlman officiating. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2000, 7:00 p.m., at Congregation B'Nai Israel, with Rabbi Isacc Celnik and Cantor Josh Perlman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Congregation B?Nai Israel, 4001 Indian School Rd. NE, 87110 to the fund of your choice.
