Dalton -- In Memory ofTHOMAS V. DALTON January 22, 1971 - December 5, 1999Born in Edina, Tom was a native of Minnesota. He graduated, Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1993. He was a member of Chi Epsilon, The National Civil Engineering Honor Society, and Tau Beta Pi. On his graduation, he moved to Albuquerque, where he was employed by Dames & Moore, Smith Engineering, and most recently by the engineering consultants firm of BRW. He received Registrations as a Professional Engineer in New Mexico in August, 1998 and in Colorado in September, 1999. He was working on his Masters Degree in C.E. at the University of New Mexico. While serving on the Fair West Neighborhood Association's Board of Directors in 1998 & 1999, Tom shared his talents by helping on a number of projects designed to improve the quality of life for his neighbors. Tom enjoyed many sports, but was a bicycling enthusiast. He toured in both the USA and Europe. Tom is survived by his parents, John and Marge Dalton; brothers, Gregory and wife, Julie, John and wife, Tammy, Mark and Sarah, Jim and fiance, Zoe; as well as nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and many friends, neighbors and co-workers. He was a concerned and caring person who left us too soon. He is loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. An informal memorial service, to remember Tom and celebrate his life, will be held Sunday, February 20, 2000 at the Marion L. Fox Memorial Park, in the 700 Block between Alvarado and Valencia NE at 1:00 p.m. All those who knew and cared for him are invited to attend. If our capricious New Mexico weather interferes, the service will be re-relocated nearby.
