Vigil -- Carlota J. Vigil, age 84, died on April 13, 2000. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe C. Vigil; and three sons, Simon, Freddie, and Ronnie Vigil. Mrs. Vigil is survived by her son, Benjamin Vigil; her daughter, Annie Chavez and husband, Leo; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Vigil was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Funeral services will be held on Monday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Following the visitation at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday a Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier. Pallbearers will be Fernando Vigil, Anthony Chavez, Miguel Aragon, Johnny Ray Barela and Diego Chavez. Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Lucero, Martin Sanchez, Adam Aragon, Leo Chavez, Vincent Chavez and Enrique Quesada. Arrangements by Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW.
