Franklin -- Col. Truman L. Franklin, U.S.A.F (Ret.), 77, a resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, April 12, 2000, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Franklin; children, Michael Franklin and wife, Inge, all of Albuquerque, Kirby Franklin and wife, Marta of San Jose, CA, Kathleen Walton and husband, James of Louisville, KY, Gerald Franklin of Corrales, and David Franklin of Albuquerque; and grandchildren, Laura Franklin, Jason Franklin, both of Albuquerque, Dennis Franklin, Bonnie Franklin, both of San Jose, CA, Sara Walton, Abby Walton, Corey Walton, all of Louisville, KY, and Melissa Franklin of Corrales. Col. Franklin retired from the U.S.A.F. after 27 years of service. He worked as an engineer for E.G. & G. and eventually founded his own consulting business, T.L.F. Consulting. He was an avid outdoorsman and a true engineer whose hobbies included metalworking, woodworking and photography. Services will be held Monday, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University NE. Interment will take place at 1:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Sunday, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
