Adkins -- Frances Gilkerson Adkins, 85, a resident of Albuquerque since 1945, died Saturday, September 16, 2000. She is survived by her husband, H.J. Adkins of the family home; daughter, Kay Brown and husband, Scott of Albuquerque; step-son, Dennis Adkins and wife, Linda of Chandler, AZ; grandchildren, Ron Brown and wife, Denise of Salt Lake City, UT, Jeff Brown of Albuquerque, and Shannon Gunia and husband, Ron of Plano, TX; great-grandchildren, Amber and Austin Brown of Salt Lake City, UT, Kirsten and Kelsey Gunia of Plano, TX; and brother, Bill Coffey of Roswell, NM. Mrs. Adkins is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Pete Gilkerson in 1993. She was a member of First United Methodist Church for over 55 years. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2000 at 3:30 p.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
