Garcia -- Frank Garcia Jr., 59, a resident of Belen, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2000. He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church and"La Grand Pastorella". Frank retired from Sandia National Laboratories after 30 years of dedicated service. He was also a science mentor for high schools throughout New Mexico. Frank was currently working at the Wells Fargo Bank (main branch) on 2nd and Lomas, where he was known as"Sarge". He was preceded in death by his parents, Emma O. and Frank C. Garcia; brother, Lindy Garcia. Frank is survived by his loving wife, Ruth of the family home; his children, Margie Villella and her husband, Anthony, Corrine Patterson and her husband, Garry, Frank Garcia and his wife, Ronda, Edwin Garcia and his wife, Andrea, Diane Garcia, and David Garcia; three sisters, Dylia Castillo, Norine Gabler and her husband, Harold, Geraldine Bustamante and her husband, Gene; three granddaughters; eight grandsons. A viewing will be held on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. also at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be Dominic and Christopher Villella, Chad Patterson, Ernest Baca, Harold Gabler, and Gene Bustamante. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie DeAnda, Victor Valdez, John Cincinatti, Larry Willard, Garry Williams, Rudy Espinosa, and Ron Tiley. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N. Main St., Belen, NM.
