Ortiz -- Anita"Grandma Annie" Ortiz passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2000. She is survived by her husband, Juan B. Ortiz; sons, Orlando Ortiz and wife, Gregoria of Bosque Farms, Henry R. Ortiz and wife, Beatrice of Los Lunas; her brothers, Benny Garcia and wife, Lollie of Richmond, CA, Wilfred and wife, Angie of Fairfield, Connecticut; sister, Tina Lucero and husband, Solomon of Bernalillo, Minnie Garcia of Albuquerque; sister-in-law, Frances Garcia of Bernalillo; grandchildren, Dennis Ortiz and wife, Jessica, Anna Swanson and husband, Louis, Patricia Victorin, Robert Ortiz and wife, Michala, Monica Valenti and husband, Terry, Sabrina Ortiz, Karissa Romero and husband, Chris, and Linda Garcia; great-grandchildren, Patrick, Nicole and Louie Swanson, Christine and Denise Victorin, Lucianita Ortiz, Marianna and Terry Valenti, Kekoa Bullough, Rafael and Reyna Romero, Christopher and Alyssa Garcia; brothers-in-law, Arthur Ortiz and wife, Carolina, Joe Ortiz and wife, Margaret; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Garcia and husband, Diego; and many loving nieces and nephews. Also surviving are former daughters-in-law, Irene Clauser and Vera Ortiz. She was preceded in death by her sons, Robert and Phillip; her parents, Conrado and Mariquita Garcia; and her in-laws, Felipe and Bernardita Ortiz; her brothers, Agapito Garcia and wife, Minda, Conrado Garcia Jr., and Edwardo (Lalo) Garcia. Grandma Annie loved her family. Her joy in life was to take excellent care of her beloved husband of 63 years, her four sons, seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Grandma Annie was a generous woman that gave the most precious gift of all her time and her love. She was always willing to sacrifice so she could help others. Grandma Annie was a devoted daughter, she helped care for her parents until their deaths. Grandma Annie was a loving wife, sister, aunt, mother, daughter, grandmother and great grandmother. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated today at 1:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, with the Interment to follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Phillip Dennis Ortiz, Robert Ortiz, Richard Padilla, Terry Vanenti, Chris Romero and Edgar Guerrero. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of the great-grandkids. Services entrusted to the Alameda Mortuary, Gary F. Santillanes C.F.S.P.
