Vigil -- Esquipula I."Skip" Vigil, age 65, passed away December 24, 2000 at his home in Albuquerque. He was born in Blanco, New Mexico, January 19, 1935 to the late Esquipula and Josephine (Martinez) Vigil Sr. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Vigil of Albuquerque; two sons, Davis and his wife Joan Vigil of Albuquerque, Anthony M. Vigil of Albuquerque; his father-in-law, Joe E. Cervantes of Bluewater, New Mexico; four sisters, Alice Mosse of Albuquerque, Genevieve Bailey of Gallup, Grace Lente of Gallup, Lydia Murphy of Albuquerque; two brothers, John Vigil of Aztec, New Mexico, Richard Vigil of Phoenix, Mike Martinez of Aztec, New Mexico; and three grandchildren, Tashaunda A. Vigil, Anthony M. Vigil Jr., Nakita Rose Vigil; one great-grandson, Manuel Ray Velanegro. He was a member of the Catholic Church. Memorial Services will be held Friday afternoon, December 29, 2000 at 4:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors Chapel 3113 Carlisle, NE.
