Anzures -- Rafael B. Anzures, 77, died on Wednesday, December 27, 2000. Mr. Anzures was born on June 19, 1923 in Contreras, NM to Modesto and Benita Anzures. He is prededed in death by his grandson, Jimmy Martinez. He is survived by his wife Della; his sons, Reinaldo and his wife Marcella, Lionel; his daughters, Theresa Martinez, Evelyn of CA; his brothers, Lucio and his wife Minnie of CA, Armando and his wife Minnie of CA; his sister Lucy of CA; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Mr. Anzures is a air force veteran of WWII, and a member of the VFW - Post 6216. A Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church on Friday at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at noon at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Bellman -- Lillian M. Bellman, 87, went home to our Dear Lord on December 27, 2000. She is survived by her sister Marie Howard of Albuquerque and sister, Theresa Iorio of Austin, TX and many nieces, nephews and two best friends. Nora Johnson and Dolores Sanchez. Brown -- Elizabeth (Bess) Brown passed away in her sleep on December 7, 2000 at the Waters of Park Point Nursing Home in Duluth, MN. Bess was born Elizabeth O'Connor in New Haven, CT, and later moved to Florida. During World War II she met her husband Arthur W. Brown and they moved to Albuquerque in 1946 where they resided until 1998 when they moved back to Florida. In November of this year they moved to Duluth. Bess is survived be her nephew Michael O'Connor; grand nephew Jared O'Connor; Joshua O'Connor; and her dear friend Judy O'Connor, all of Florida; and, of course, her beloved husband Art Brown who now resides at the aforementioned nursing home at 1601 St. Louis Ave., Duluth, MN 55802. Mrs. Brown was employed for many years at F.D. Fogg & Co. Jewelers downtown Albuquerque.

Cooper -- Joe R. Cooper, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1945, died Friday, December 22, 2000. He is survived by his daughter, Beverly Herman and husband, George E.; grandchildren, George Joseph Herman, James Edward Herman, Valerie Kristine Herman, all of Tucson, AZ and John Steven Herman of Cherry Point, NC; and great-granddaughter, Amorette Flores of Tucson, AZ. Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Vera. Joe belonged to V.F.W. and was a decorated WWII Army Veteran. Services will be held Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. Clyde Stanfield officiating. Domme -- Edward C. Domme, 76, died on December 26, 2000. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Kathryn M. 'Peachie' Domme, who was his honorable and encouraging caregiver throughout his several years of declining health; his sons, V. Craig Domme and wife, Susie of Farmington, (Rev.) Edward C. Domme Jr., of Mountainair, Daniel L. Domme and wife, Colleen of Albuquerque, Thomas M. Domme and wife, Martha of Albuquerque, John C. Domme and wife, Karen of Colorado Springs; grandchildren, Gretchen Domme Malavoz and husband, Christian of Albuquerque, Kent D. Domme, U.S.M.C. of North Carolina, Alexis, Sarah, A.J. and Lauren Domme of Farmington, Lisa and Nathan Domme of Albuquerque, Simone, Kelsey, Monique and Courtney Domme of Colorado Springs; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Mollie, Ashley and Marc Malovoz of Albuquerque; brother, Clarence Domme of Albuquerque; sisters, Sister Francis Cecilia Domme of Leavenworth, Kansas, Sophie Chiordi of Albuquerque, Margaret Thies of St. Louis and Mary Ann Padgett and husband, Bill of Topeka. Ed was born May 5, 1924 in Topeka, Kansas to Aloysius John and Elizabeth Catherine Stadler Domme, both of whom have preceded him in death, as have three brothers, Albert, Vincent and William Domme. On July 20, 1946 he married Peachie Kennedy in Topeka, Kansas. He lived in Albuquerque from 1929 to 1939 and from 1948 to present. Mr. Domme served as a Naval Aviator during World War II and remained in the Naval Reserve until 1969, retiringat the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Ed graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1952 and began employment with Sandia National Laboratories. He enjoyed 36 fulfilling years with the Laboratories and retired in 1987 as Department Manager of the Management Information Systems Department. Mr. Domme was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church from 1953 until his death and actively participated in the ministries of the parish for many years. He was active in the Serra Club, and the home and school associations for both St. Pius High School and Assumption Parish. He was also active in many civic organizations including the Elks Club, the JayCees and the Community Council of Albuquerque. Visitation will be held on Friday evening at Our Lady of Assumption Church on Lomas and Tennessee NE from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Our Lady of Assumption Church on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. with Father Edward C. Enomoto -- Masaichi (Mas) Enomoto, 81, a 25-year resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, December 23, 2000. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Masa Enomoto of Albuquerque; daughter, Elaine Enomoto of Anaheim, CA; brother, Moto Enomoto of Los Angeles, CA; sisters, Mitzi Miasaki and Yosh Nagoaka, both of Montebello, CA. Mr. Enomoto was a US Army veteran of WWII serving with the 442nd Infantry. He was a member of the Japanese American Citizens League of NM. Gentry -- Thomas (Tommy) N. Gentry, 58, a 31-year resident of Corrales, died at the family home on Sunday, December 24, 2000. Tommy will be deeply missed by his loving family and many friends, all of whom were greatly inspired by his love of life, sense of humor, honesty, compassion and genuine character. His strong faith in God showed through his commitment and tremendous love for his family and friends. Tommy is survived by his wife of 20 years, Gayle; sons, Thomas III and wife, Myka (Taylor Ranch), and David and wife, Debbie (Rio Rancho); daughter, Lara Nieto and husband, Quint (Seattle); grandsons, Thomas IV, David II and Brian; mother, Norma Gentry (Rio Rancho); and sister, Hallene Condon (Cambria, NY). He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Gentry Sr. Born in West Virginia, Tommy moved from New York to New Mexico in 1969, settling in Corrales, which he considered his home. A highly respected member of the community he loved, Tommy served as mayor of the Village of Corrales from 1982-1986 preceded by four years as a Village Councilor. He also had served as a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technician in the Corrales Fire Department. Tommy was honored on June 4, 2000, by hundreds of friends, as well as politicians from local, county, state and national levels in recognition of his dedicated public service to the Village. Tommy owned Choo-Choos Trains n' More in Corrales for the past nine years and continued his passionate involvement with trains until the day of his death. He developed endearing friendships with other train enthusiasts locally and throughout the country. He was a member of the Toy Train Operating Society- New Mexico division and Train Collectors Association Rocky Mountain and Desert divisions. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to the University of New Mexico Cancer Research and Treatment Center ( 900 Camino de Salud NE, Albuquerque, 87131), where Tommy received exemplary care from John Saiki, M.D., and staff during his courageous five-year battle with breast cancer. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 29, 2000 from Noon to 1:00 p.m. with the service at 1:00 p.m. at the Historic Old San Ysidro Church, Old Church Road, Corrales, NM with Pastor Scott Devore of the Covenant Christian Church officiating. Giese -- Mary Teresa Giese, 74, a resident of Rio Rancho, and of New Mexico since 1962, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2000. Mary was born June 14, 1926 the daughter of Leo Albert and Mary Striegal Heintzlman in Leavenworth, Kansas. She was a member of ST. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Giese, Sr. in August of 1999. She is survived by seven children, Ray Giese, Jr. of Rio Rancho; Ann Giese of Rio Rancho; Dick Giese of Worcester, MA; Claudia Gieseof Rio Rancho; Sandy Smith of Albuquerque; Gary Giese of Bernalillo; and Tim Giese of Phoenix, AZ; one brother, Leo Heintzlman of Leavenworth, KS; twelve Grandchildren and four Great-granchildren. Visitaiton will be on Friday, December 29, 2000 from 4 to 6 PM in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 30, 2000 at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Vista Verde Memorial Park. Goatcher -- LaDonna J. Goatcher, 63, a resident of Albuquerque for 30 years, and previously from Longview-Kelso, WA, died Saturday, December 23, 2000, at her home with her family at her side after a brief battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Loyd; sons, Jay Goatcher and wife, Loretta, Larry Goatcher and wife, Karen; daughter, Kelly Carmody and husband, Jeff; five grandchildren, Jessica and Jacqueline Carmody, Kristye Grissom, Kaley and Kalvin Goatcher; mother, Jessie Hand; father-in-law, Loyd Goatcher, Sr., all of Albuquerque; sister, Betty Silva and husband, Lou of Crow, OR; two nieces; and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her father, Jay Hand; and son, Richard Goatcher. LaDonna was co-owner of Samon's Electric and Plumbing Supply with her family. Grim -- In Loving Memory Of James D. (Jim Grim) 1931-2000The Lord in his wisdom, took Dad home on Christmas Eve. He passed peacefully in his sleep. Jim was from Dallas, SD. He moved to New Mexico in 1960. He is survived by his wife, Shirlene of Highland Meadows; a sister, Dorthy Novotny of Winner, SD; two daughters, Lisa of Highland Meadows, and Laura of Oriskany Falls, NY; two sons, Mark of Bernalillo and Peter of Corrales; he also had two stepchildren, Monica and Allen of Albuquerque; his grandchildren, Peter, Harley, Sadie, Chris, Will, Lisa, Alex, Tabitha and Tristan; and his nieces and nephews. You are loved and will be missed. Jim was the best crane operator in New Mexico. Gutierrez -- Angelo G. Gutierrez, 40, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on December 25, 2000. Angelo is the beloved son of Mrs. Ida Gutierrez. He is also survived by his brother Richard Gutierrez; several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. He was preceded in death by his father Ernest I. Gutierrez. Angelo was a member of the Catholic Church. Gutierrez -- David C. Gutierrez, beloved father and grandfather was called home to the Lord on December 26, 2000. He was preceded in death by his wife Sara O. Gutierrez. David is survived by his children, Christine and husband Robert Wayne Cox, Margaret Levine and Patricia Gutierrez. Also surviving are his grandchildren, David and Lisa Cox, Sam and Rebecca Levine. Gutierrez -- Robert A. Gutierrez, 86, a resident of New Mexico his entire life, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 26, 2000. He was born May 21, 1914, to Ofimiano and Eloisa Gutierrez. He was precede in death by his loving wife Sarah; Son, Vernon; brothers Ofimiano, Rudy, Maxamiliano and Ely and sisters Veneranda and Stella. He is survived by 2 daughters Sarah Gutierrez, and Cynthia Sandoval and husband Bob; 3 sons, Sid Gutierrez and wife Marianne, Robert Gutierrez and wife Barbara Albin and Walt Gutierrez and wife Gina, sister Eloisa Petty and Grandchildren, Andrea and husband David, Bernadette, Luke, Becky, Mike, Matt, David, Katie, Taryn, Bette, and Risa. Robert grew up tending to the family farm and range cattle. He graduated from Albuquerque High School and went on to earn his BS in forestry from Colorado State college. During W.W.II, he served in the US Army in the Middle East and Europe. He went ashore at Utah Beach on D-day and participated in the liberation of Paris and the Battle of the Bulge. He received a battlefield commission and was awarded the Bronze Star. Following active duty Lt. Col. Gutierrez served his country in the US Army Reserve, including a return to active duty during the Cuban Crisis. In addition to his service as a soldier, Roberts career included positions in forest range management, life insurance and real estate. He was active in politics and volunteered his time to numerous organizations, including the Middle Rio Grand Conservancy District and the Bernalillo County Planning and Zoning Commission. During Robert's valiant struggle with Alzheimer's, the thoughtful care provided by staff at Karrington St. Frances Mission Manor and Sandia Hospice has been appreciated. A mass will be celebrated Friday at the Church of the Risen Savior at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at the Mt Calvary Cemetery. A rosary will be recited Thursday evening at 7:30 PM at the Church of the Risen Savior. Visitations will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 Thursday at he Salazar & Sons Mortuary 400 3rd St. SW.

Harwood -- James Irwin Harwood, 77, a resident of Albuquerque for 73 years, died Tuesday, December 26, 2000. Hewitt -- Delores"Dody" Hewitt, 68, of Rio Rancho, NM, died Sunday, December 24, 2000, at a rehabilitation facility in Albuquerque. She was born in Washington, D.C. on September 3, 1932. She was a graduate of the Cambridge, Ohio high school class of 1950. The joys of her life were her family, friends, music, and travel. She was a loving wife to her husband, Leon Hewitt, for 33 years, and a loving mother, grandmother and relative to the following remaining family members: her only child, Patti Austin; grandchildren, Krystina Daniel, Jeffrey Knox, Stacy and Sean Austin; great-grandchildren Aryel Daniel, Jasmyne Peralta, F. Hildebrandt -- On December 21, 2000 Hazel Beatrice Hildebrandt, beloved mother and grandmother, born in Northfield, Minnesota, went to be with the Lord. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Kenneth R. Hildebrandt. At this time she was residing in Phoenix, Arizona. Hazel is survived by a son, Wayne K. Hildebrandt of Albuquerque, NM; and a daughters, Joan Martinez of Phoenix, AZ. Also surviving is a daughter-in-law, Virginia Hildebrandt; a son-in-law Richard Martinez; and five grandchildren, Gary Hildebrandt of Phoenix, AZ, Timothy Hildebrandt of Albuquerque, NM, Ann Gonzales of Glendale, AZ, Robert Martinez of Phoenix, AZ, and Rick Martinez of Corona, California; and six great-grandchildren. Maestas -- Rudy Michael Maestas, 56, went to be with our Lord December 26, 2000. He was preceded in death by his father Lorenzo Maestas; brother James Maestas; mother Marenciana Diaz Maestas; sister Lorraine; brother Raymond and Joe A. Maestas; and father-in-law Jose Palacio. Rudy was a retired Teamsters driver born in Dixon, NM., raised in Albuquerque, and attended St. Marys School and Albuquerque High School. Rudy is survived by his wife of 37 years Eileen; daughter Pamela; sons Christopher, and Rudy Lawrence along with Stephanie; two sisters Connie and Lucy; six grandchildren Martin, Anthony, Monica, Matthew, Marissa, and Amber; and many nieces, nephews, family, and long time friends who loved and will miss him. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church with a memorial Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2000. Maldonado -- Angie Maldonado, 66, passed away December 26, 2000. She was a native New Mexican, and was born in La Joya, NM. Angie was preceded in death by her daughter Geraldine Black; son Morris Maldonado, Jr.,; grandson Eric Turietta; and sister Rose Sisneros. Ramirez -- Estefannita"Fannie""Anita" H. Ramirez went home to the Lord on December 25. She was born in Anton Chico, New Mexico to Lola Sena and Nick Hern. She was married for 42 wonderful years to Vicente Ramirez and had four children: sons Vincent Ramirez and his wife Judy, Mark Ramirez and his partner Yvette Garcia; daughters Geri Ramirez and her partner Darryl Farrington and Anna Ramirez. She was also blessed with six grandchildren: Steven, David, Patrick, Mark Lloyd, Vincent and Shelby. She is also survived by her brother in law Javier Villegas and his wife Alicia, mother in law, Antonia Ramirez and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. The Family wishes to thank all the staff at the Heart Hospital of N.M. and St. Joseph's Pace Program for the loving care they gave to our mother. Sanderson -- William Raymond Sanderson, IV passed away at home on Sunday December 24, 2000 after suffering two strokes in February, 2000. He was born April 20, 1930 in Pueblo, CO, the second son of John P. and Jane Parks Sanderson. His parents and brother, John Pearson Sanderson, III, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Alma Baldwin Sanderson; a daughter, Karen S. Fitzgerald; a son, William Raymond Sanderson, V (Bill); a son-in-law, Dennis G. Fitzgerald; and two grandsons, Alec William and Breton Christopher Fitzgerald. Raymond graduated from Albuquerque High School and from the University of New Mexico where he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. He and his brother operated Sanderson Brothers Insurance. Later, Raymond taught art at Santa Fe High School and at Lincoln and Van Buren Middle Schools in Albuquerque. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 29, 2000 in the Chapel of Central United Methodist Church, 1615 Copper NE. Sunrise Society of NM is in charge of cremation. Crown Hill Cemetery in Lakewood, CO will be his final resting place. She was born Mary B. Samuelson on August 20, 1928 in Hudson, WI to a supportive and loving family with six brothers and sisters, Merrill Samuelson, Lucille Agard, Dale Samuelson, Betty Mize, Stanley Samuelson and Wayne Samuelson. A lifelong educator, Mary touched many lives as a Home/Hospital teacher and mid-school teacher. She retired from Albuquerque Public Schools in 1990 and was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma teacherťs society. Her passions were her family, reading, playing bridge with friends, and travel. Mary was preceded in death by her mother, father, and infant son, Todd Douglas. She will be remembered for her caring, gentle nature, abundant generosity, and her soft-spoken courage and humility. Taylor -- Edmund L. Taylor, 80, a resident of Albuquerque since 1938, died Saturday, December 23, 2000. He is survived by his nephews, David O. Paxton of Albuquerque and Holm O. Bursum of Socorro; nieces, Susan Welletts of Camden, NC, Caroline Gatty of Denver, CO, Laural Baumgartner of McGrath, AK, and Kathleen Opheim of Kasilof, AK; and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews. Mr. Taylor attended the University of New Mexico. He worked for the Fish and Game Department; he was also a bus and truck driver; and IDEL Engineer for government contracts during WWII. Mr. Taylor was a member of the Moose Lodge for over 50 years. His present title was Arizona/New Mexico Manager of Moose Legion. Ed held the highest title a Moose member can hold, Past Grand North Moose, and was also past Herder of Legion Unit 134. Mr. Taylor received the Moose Highest Degree of Merit Pilgrim. He enjoyed model trains and good cigars. Mr. Taylor achieved a lifelong dream of making a trip to Alaska in July 2000; and loved to travel all over the US, Canada and Mid East.
