Sanderson -- William Raymond Sanderson, IV passed away at home on Sunday December 24, 2000 after suffering two strokes in February, 2000. He was born April 20, 1930 in Pueblo, CO, the second son of John P. and Jane Parks Sanderson. His parents and brother, John Pearson Sanderson, III, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Alma Baldwin Sanderson; a daughter, Karen S. Fitzgerald; a son, William Raymond Sanderson, V (Bill); a son-in-law, Dennis G. Fitzgerald; and two grandsons, Alec William and Breton Christopher Fitzgerald. Raymond graduated from Albuquerque High School and from the University of New Mexico where he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. He and his brother operated Sanderson Brothers Insurance. Later, Raymond taught art at Santa Fe High School and at Lincoln and Van Buren Middle Schools in Albuquerque. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 29, 2000 in the Chapel of Central United Methodist Church, 1615 Copper NE. Sunrise Society of NM is in charge of cremation. Crown Hill Cemetery in Lakewood, CO will be his final resting place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favourite charity or to the Wilhelmina Coe Kidney House, 1423 Silver SE, Albuquerque 87106.
