Witt -- Emma Louise Witt, 97, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2000. Emma was born April 6, 1903, the daughter of Charles and Martha Blair Van Wagner in Whitesboro, Texas. Born during the Depression, she learned stamina and poise. She had worked as a telephone operator, and also had created and developed fireworks for the London Mfg. Co. Emma was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Martha Van Wagner; her beloved husband, Raymond Witt; two brothers, Myrl and Harry Van Wagner. She is survived by her sister, Virginia Lee Robertson; her nephew, Charles Donovan Robertson and Loretta Joann Robertson; great-niece, Deedra Dawn Goss; and great-nephews, Don Mark Robertson and Damon Dale Robertson; and many other great-great-grandnieces and nephews, and friends. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all. Emma made a real impact on us and the community. A Memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2000, 9:00 a.m., at the Celebration Baptist church in Rio Rancho. Cremation arrangements being handled through the Sunrise Society of New Mexico.
