Saiz -- Mrs. Petra G. Saiz, 57, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on May 9, 2000, peacefully at home in the arms of her loving family. Mrs. Saiz was the beloved wife of 35 years to Mr. Miguel Saiz. She is also survived by one daughter, Odette Saiz; three sons, Michael R. Saiz, Tommy Saiz and Timmy Saiz; one granddaughter, Amber Rose Liparoto; six sisters, Antonia Benavidez and husband, Emundo, Dolores Sanchez, Senaida Encinias and husband, Eloy, Yolanda Garcia, Mary Lou Brown, and Lisa Baca and husband, Manuel; three brothers, Leopoldo Garcia Jr. and wife, Louise, Albert"Bobby" Garcia, and Donald Tomas Garcia; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Saiz was a member of the Catholic Church, active member of First Choice Community Center for 27 years, active member of South Valley Advocated for the Mentally and Handicapped, and the Senior Citizens. The family requests that any contributions and donations be made to the Petra Saiz RX for Books Memorial Fund, 2001 N. Central Familiar Blvd. SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105. A Memorial Rosary will be recited Friday evening, 8:15 p.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning, 8:00 a.m., at Holy Family Church with final visitation at the church after 7:45 a.m. Father Manuel, Celebrant. Interment of the cremains will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, in charge of the arrangements.
