Sandoval -- "Rumi" Rumalda R. Sandoval, born on May 12, 1908, passed away on May 7, 2000. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Altagracia Rubio; her loving husband, Frank Sandoval; children, Ramon Sandoval, Amadeo Sandoval, Elsie Sandoval, Patrick Sandoval, and a set of twins. Also preceded her in death was two grandchildren, Freddie Sandoval and Billy Smith; and a sister, Clara Martinez. Rumalda is survived by seven children, Manuel Sandoval and wife, Benita, Enelva Smith and husband, William, Johnny Sandoval, Grace Houston, Leonor Foster, Pete R. Sandoval and wife, Jackie, and Leo A. Sandoval and wife, Darlene. Also surviving are 37 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated today at 1:00 p.m. also at the church. Pallbearers will be Henry Sandoval, Vickie Sandoval, Peter Shane Sandoval, Samuel Houston, John Foster, and Joe P. Martinez. Honorary pallbearers are Louis Sandoval, Harvey Sandoval, Danny Sandoval, Sam Foster, Brenda Sandoval, Daniel Smith, and all other grandchildren. Services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 4th Street, Gary F. Santillanes C.F.S.P.
