Martinez -- Mr. Pilar Martinez Jr., 64, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of his loving family on May 7, 2000. Mr. Martinez was the beloved husband of 39 years to Mrs. Betty Martinez. He is also survived by three daughters, Louise Romero and husband, David, Yvette Martinez and Diane Martinez; one son, Gerald Anthony Martinez and wife, Rose; one sister, Fita Sanchez and husband, Eddie; two brothers, Phil Martinez and wife, Priscilla and Eppie Martinez; four grandchildren, Felicia, Savannah, Amanda and Bernadette; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Martinez was a veteran of the U.S. Army. A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday morning, 9:00 a.m., at Victory Love Fellowship Church, 7201 Central NW, with visitation at the church after 8:30 a.m. Pastor Jack Connor officiating. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:00 p.m. with Military Honors. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, in charge of the arrangements.
