Hillenbrand -- ANN LOUISE CECIL HILLENBRAND A Memorial service, celebrating her life, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2000, at Assumption Catholic Church for Ann Louise Cecil Hillenbrand, 82, of Roswell, who went home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, March 28, 2000. Father Bob Goetz will officiate. Burial will take place at the Cecil Family Plot located in Tucson, Arizona."Annie", as she liked to be called, was born on August 15, 1917 in Evansville, Indiana, to Frank Alexander Cecil and Katie O'Donnavan Cecil. She married Edwin Joseph Hillenbrand Sr. in October of 1949 in Evansville, Indiana. He preceded her in death on April 19, 1969."Annie" moved to Albuquerque in 1974, where she joined three of her six children. In March of 1998, she and her son, Edwin J. Hillenbrand Jr. moved to Roswell. While in Albuquerque, she attended and was an active member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church for many years. She attended bible study through Queen of Heaven and made numerous friends throughout her church family. A Memorial Mass will be held at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church on Sunday, May 28, 2000, at 6:00 p.m. Even though"Annie" had just recently moved to the Roswell area, she attended and was an active member of the Assumption Catholic Church. She belonged to a local prayer group, where many friends were made."Annie" never met a stranger and always had a quick-witted"Irish" reply in any situation and/or circumstance. She was and is loved. Every day was a new day for"Annie"."Annie's" memory lives on in her family which consists of four daughters, Mary David Cochran of Alabama, Katie Hoyl of Hagerman, NM, Ellie E. Garcia and JoAnn Haas, both of Shelbyville, IN; two sons, Edwin J. Hillenbrand Jr. of Roswell and John F. Hillenbrand of Albuquerque; a sister, Mary Martin and nephew, Jack Martin Jr., both of Newburgh, IN; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Father, we thank you for allowing Ann Louise Cecil Hillenbrand to be our mom and our friend while on this, your earth. Father, we also look forward, with expectancy, to the glad day when we will all be together again.
