Hudson -- James Floyd Hudson, 77, of Bokoshe, Oklahoma, died March 24th at The Oaks Healthcare Center in Poteau, Oklahoma after a long illness. Born in Ft. Worth, Texas in May of 1922, he moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico after World War II, where he owned a roofing company for many years. A veteran of World War II, he proudly served his country in the Armed Forces from January 1942 until September 1945. He served in France, Rhineland, Italy, and French Morocco. After leaving New Mexico, he lived in Ohio then Tennessee, where he and Suella ran canoe liveries. Finding an ad in a Tennessee newspaper, he saw property in Bokoshe for sale, and, loving to fish, realized his dream and settled in the small community near the lakes and streams he loved. He and his wife were co-owners of Hudson Corner Store east of Bokoshe for 17 years when bad health forced them to retire in 1994. His parents, William Daris and Gladys Alyeen Morley Hudson, formerly of Ft. Worth, TX; one sister; and one brother, precede him in death. His wife, Suella of Bokoshe; one daughter, Nancy Bruce of Albuquerque; one son, Jerry Hudson; two step-daughters, Charlotte"Charlee" Isaac of Bokoshe, and Susan Aldrich of Bowling Green, KT; four grandchildren and one great grandson survive him. He and his wife, Suella, raised one of the grandchildren, Russell, and later adopted him as their own. Mr. Hudson, knowing the need for body donors for medical science and experimentation, has donated his remains to Oklahoma University Medical Center in the hopes that this gift might benefit others. A memorial service will be held, Sunday, April 2, 2:00 p.m., at the First Assembly of God Church in Bokoshe, Oklahoma. The family has asked that donations be made to the First Assembly of God Children's Program, P.O. Box 98, Bokoshe, Oklahoma 74930 in lieu of flowers. If there are any questions about this submission, please contact either Charlotte Isaac or Suella Hudson at 918-969-2600.
