Williams -- John P. Williams, 86, a resident of Albuquerque since 1955, died Sunday, August 13, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Owallah ťBillieť Williams; daughter, Beverly J. Wilkins, both of Albuquerque; son, John R."Bob" Williams of T or C; grandchildren, Sydney Little and husband, Frank of Albuquerque, Brian Wilkins and wife, Robyn of Phoenix, AZ, Steven Wilkins and wife, Sandra of Puyallup, WA, Amy Wilkins of Albuquerque, and Dawn Verdigan and husband, Matt of Crown Point, IN; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by one brother; and one sister. He worked for Bureau of Indian Affairs for 41 years and retired in 1977. Mr. Williams was a member of the Sandia Mountain Lodge #72 A.F. & A.M.; Order of the Eastern Star Desert Rose #70; and Ballut Abyad Shrine. Services will be held Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be Brian Wilkins, Steve Wilkins, Ray Carpenter, David Karbel, Walter Wyche and Ed Vavro. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimers Association, 1330 San Pedro NE, Suite 205, 87110.
