Chavez -- Mrs. Julia Chavez, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, died Thursday in Albuquerque at the age of 86. Mrs. Chavez was a member of the San Ignacio Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose T. Chavez and Trinidad Rodriguez; sons, Arthur Robles, Arnold Robles, and John Robles; daughters, Margaret Robles, Dora Robles and Rose Herrera; and grandchildren, Evangeline and John. Mrs. Chavez is survived by her son, Henry Robles; daughter, Virginia Robles; 13 grandchildren, Eddy, Dora, Bob, Mary, Alan, Leonard, Anthony, Manuel, Sandra, Michelle, Joe, Arthur and Mike; and 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Chavez will be held on Saturday at the San Ignacio Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Gonzales, Andy Gonzales, Alan Waseta and Robert Gutierrez. A Rosary for Mrs. Chavez will be recited on Friday evening, 7:00 p.m., at Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW.
