La Bine -- Edward Joseph La Bine died Tuesday, May 2, at the age of 89. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; daughter, Barbara Tellier, and grandchildren, Catherine and Jacob Tellier of Albuquerque; son, Thomas, and grandchildren, Nicholas and Scott La Bine; sister, Delia Chaudoir of Green Bay, WI; and nephew, Fritz La Bine of Long Lake, WI. He was preceded in death by sister, Celia; brothers, Art, Ernest, Fred, Delore and Herman; baby son, Robert; and daughter, Joan. Mr. La Bine was born in Coleman, Wisconsin, August 4, 1910 to Herman La Bine and Celia St. Germaine. He married Eleanor Louise Holmes in June of 1934 and settled in Tipler, Wisconsin. He was a farmer, school bus driver, and woodsman before retiring to Albuquerque in August of 1980. The family wishes to thank the staff at Albuquerque Manor and Sandia Hospice for his care in recent months. French Mortuary is in charge of cremation. The cremains will be delivered to Iron River, Michigan at a later date. Memorial donations can be sent to Alliance Against Animal Abuse, P.O. Box 90601, Albuquerque, NM 87199, of which Mr. La Bine was a member for 14 years.
