Thomte -- Luther J."Jimmy" Thomte, age 80, a resident since 1942, died Thursday. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce Riehl Thomte; son, James C. Thomte and wife, Barbara; grandchildren, Jo Ann Thomte, Bobbie Bicknell and John Bicknell. Mr. Thomte was in the Land Title Business for over 40 years. A graduate of the University of Washington at Seattle, joined the Army Air Corp in 1942, and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 27, at Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, with Pastor Larry A. Wright officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery with Michael P. McMullan, William Bryce, Jay Hansen, Gordon Hermanson, Bobby Bicknell, and Randy Eakin serving as casket bearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Animal Humane Association of New Mexico, 615 Virginia SE 87108 or St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1100 Indian School Rd. NE 87102. Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE, are in charge of arrangements.
