Chavez -- Pete T. Chavez, 80, passed away June 18, 2000 at the Veterans Hospital. He was a native New Mexican and lived in Albuquerque. He is survived by his sisters, Irene Chavez-Ortiz, Irene Pimsler; nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss him. A Memorial service will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Monday, June 26, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St. NW, 505-343-8008.
