Westmark -- Charles I. Westmark, 71, born February 11, 1929, passed away Friday, November 10, 2000. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Cleo; daughter and son-in-law, Erica and Paul Montoya; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Sheryl Westmark; daughter and son-in-law, Ilsa and Mike Ortiz; grandchildren, Jade and Jasmine Montoya, Charlie Westmark, and Samantha Kesler. He is also survived by brothers, Jim and Leo Westmark of Dubque, IA, Bob Westmark of Swanton, OH; sister, Ruth Middleman of Dubuque, IA; and many friends. He served in the US Army (1948-1953), two tours in Korea (1950 & 1951). He received Purple Hearts and Battle Stars. He worked for Sandia National Labs for 31 years and retired in 1986. He then was the Senior Scientific Consultant for CSC for five years and retired in 1991. He will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched. Services will be held Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Friends may visit French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Lung Association of JNM 216 Truman NE 87108.
