Anaya -- John F."Wimpy" Anaya, 67, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, January 6, 3000. He is missed by his wife, Joan of the family home; son, Jared; mother, Ramona; sisters, Carmen Garcia, Vicky Davis, Betty Anaya, and Gloria Salas, all of Albuquerque; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Anaya retired from the NM Air National Guard/USAF, where he served for 40 years. Following his retirement, he was a substitute teacher for the Albuquerque Public Schools; a job he thoroughly enjoyed. Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, January 8, 2000, 10:00 a.m., at St. Edwin Catholic Church, 2105 Barcelona Rd. SW. Private interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE.
