Meoli -- Carmela Cariota Meoli, 94, a resident of Albuquerque since July of 1999, peacefully in her sleep went to our Father in Heaven on Thursday, December 30, 1999. For the past twenty days, she was lovingly cared for at Manzano del Sol Good Samaritan Village. Carmela was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 22, 1905 to Frank and Mary Cariota. She married Nicholas Meoli at the Church of Our Lady of Loretto, Brooklyn, NY on October 18, 1925. She is survived by her son, Bernard Meoli of Huntington, NY; daughters, Margaret Meoli of Hollywood, CA, Theresa Ripi of Albuquerque, and Marie Bauch of Deer Park, NY; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Services have taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donation be made in her memory to Manzano del Sol Good Samaritan Village, Attn: Ms. Lynn Alexander, 5201 Roma Ave. NE, 87108.
