Marteno -- Dominica (Minnie) Marteno, 92, a resident of Albuquerque since 1923, died December 29, 1999. Minnie was born in Illinois on August 17, 1907. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oreste Marteno. Minnie is survived by her daughter, Rosemary Robart and husband, Myron; her daughter, Betty Lambert; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four sisters; one brothers; and many nieces and nephews. Minnie was one of Albuquerque's best seamstresses, working out of her home for over 50 years. Minnie's customers became close friends, often dropping by just to visit. She was always a concerned, big hearted, generous, and loving friend, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. She was a true believer in God's will. Death is an end to life, but not an end to a relationship. Her family and friends will always remember her humor and kindness and will truly miss her. Private graveside services for the immediate family were held in Fairview Cemetery. Donations may be made, in lieu of flowers, to a charity of your choice. Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE, were in charge of arrangements.
